Of course we enjoy keeping up with new trends in home and office decor!  It’s fun to see what is hot in the decorating world, and how we can incorporate it into our showroom and create designs for our customers.

Here are some of the most popular decor trends we’ve found for 2016.

Pastels

Thanks to Pantone choosing Rose Quartz and Serenity as their colors of 2016, pastels will be the trend. We found these stylish examples in our showroom as well as some beautiful fabric options for custom seating.  Not ready to commit to a pastel color scheme?  Try pastel accessories or accent pillows to add just a touch of this trend to your current décor.

Mixing Metals

In recent years, copper, gold, vintage brass and rose gold have made a comeback.  Platinum, pewter and silver didn’t go away, but now mixing metal finishes is the latest trend.  Feel free to combine a gorgeous copper table with a rose gold picture frame a couple of silver-embossed throw pillows.

Bold Botanicals

This year will be all about bold patterns, including nature inspired prints.  Look for larger than life florals, birds, trees and leaves that give your décor that eco-chic vibe while also playing with texture and size.  We love the bold fuchsia floral print featured on this occasional chair in our showroom.  (Also notice the rustic wood finish, greenery & various metallic accents!)

Going Green

Bringing the outdoors inside will also be one of the hottest trends for 2016.  Incorporating nature and greenery into your office or home décor adds a calming element.  This also includes accents of “reclaimed” wood to add a more rustic feel.

Curved Lines

While clean lines used to be the standard, rounded designs are becoming popular on occasional tables and chairs. Organic shapes are also in, rather than your typical square designs.
